We want to showcase the lifestyles of people in Asia/Pacific through a range of photos and videos that demonstrate how their society is changing through the places they visit, the food they eat and the people they meet.
We want to connect the old world with the new, where people are seizing the world for themselves, innovating and embracing progress, but conscious of their traditional values and customs.
We want you to be a part of this movement, capturing photographs and videos on their phones or cameras that show people’s lifestyles across the region.
WHAT WE’RE AFTER:
We’re looking for a range of photos and video clips/gifs that showcase how the lifestyles of people across Asia are changing. We want a look into the unconventional things people do in life to pursue their passions, embracing old traditions with new (or emerging) ideas for the betterment of self and community.
We’re selecting a range a filmmakers and photographers to capture the moments that best show how people in Asia are living in 2018.
Do you know a great street food cart where people flock to? How do you tackle your morning commute? Do you choose to avoid the high street or the mall when you shop? Are you seeking new experiences when you take a holiday?
As a first step, just send in your ideas of places, people, food or experiences where you’d like to take your photos or films. You can put these into a ‘pitch’ document or just fill out the fields in the submission form directly.
We’d also like to see any previous photos or films you’ve done before. You can send a link to your Instagram or a selection of social photos you’ve already shot. If you have a website then send a link to that too!
You can use the suggestions we’ve listed below, or you can suggest your own.
You will be selected based on both your ideas but also on your current portfolio so you should include some of the best examples of your work you can.
We’ll choose our favourite ideas and commission them to capture those ideas, paying $500 for each photo and $750 for each video clip/gif we commission.
We may even select some of those examples you send in!
